Before the age of automobiles the bicycle was a formidable ally in the trip to the shops. But for some people two wheels simply wasn't enough. When style and practicality overtook the need for speed the tricycle came into play. Used commonly by the older generation the tricycle became very popular as more and more people decided to use such transport in their routine shopping trips.

Instead their design was open to interpretation and therefore many strange and wonderful designs were born.
